The
Name of Pyay come from the word Pyu. In the 5th to
9th century Pyu people settled down in this area.
Later it was changed the name Pyay and over 285 Km
far from north of Yangon. A visitor can get there
not only by car but by train. It takes about 5 hour
to get there and the most famous pagoda is
Shwesandaw. It was built by king Dotdabaung in 589
BC.
